2003-2004Director, Muller & Monroe Asset Management
Aaron Rudberg is a Director at Muller & Monroe Asset Management, (www.m2am.com) a private equity firm that focuses on private equity funds-of-funds with an emphasis on newer (niche) managers. Prior to Aaron's time with RPX Group, he led marketing and business development at Epigraph, a venture-backed software company located in Chicago.
Prior to Epigraph, Aaron was an associate with Skyscraper Venture Partners where he was actively involved in making investments for its first fund. At Skyscraper, Aaron's focus was primarily on seed and early stage investments. Aaron previously was an associate for divine inc's Corporate Venture Fund, where he evaluated technology investments and helped existing divine portfolio companies develop their business models.
Earlier in his career, Aaron was the Project Director for the Illinois Coalition for Science and Technology, a non-profit economic development organization. During his tenure at the Illinois Coalition, Mr. Rudberg led a successful fund raising campaign; oversaw a state-sponsored venture fund; and directed the delivery of services.
Aaron began his career when he joined the administration of Governor Jim Edgar, receiving the James H. Dunn Fellowship for displaying leadership and excellence. A featured speaker on venture capital and entrepreneurship. in 2004CEO, Sign Me Up
Chuck Templeton became the CEO of Sign Me Up, an RPX Group client, in 2005 on a referral from us. Previously he was the CEO of Acumence, Inc. (www.acumence.com), a business intelligence software vendor to the manufacturing industry. While at Acumence, Inc. the company doubled its year over year revenue.
Earlier, Chuck was founder and CEO of OpenTable, Inc. (www.opentable.com) the industry leader in reservation, table and guest management solutions to the restaurant industry. While there, they built a team of world class managers, investment partners and network of restaurants. OpenTable raised $52 million in private equity and debt from venture capitalists, financial institutions and corporate partners and has become an enduring company which is poised to provide its investors with a healthy return.
Chuck is a member of the Kellogg School of Management entrepreneurial community and is a mentor for several small businesses. Chuck received his Bachelor of Science from the California Polytechnic State University, in San Luis Obispo, CA where he studied Economics with an emphasis in International Economics^ Top
2002-2003CEO, Advanced Diamond Technologies
Neil Kane is currently the CEO of Advanced Diamond Technologies, a diamond nano-coating company spun out of Argonne National Lab by RPX Group while we were under contract to the University of Chicago. Neil originally identified his interest in the company while at the firm.
Prior to Neil's tenure with RPX Group, he was Regional Business Development Manager for Microsoft Corporation. In this role he worked with early-stage companies by crafting cooperative relationships that frequently included joint marketing, joint PR, technical information sharing and early stage financing. In this role he identified, negotiated and closed a $25 million equity investment in an Illinois-based software company.
Prior to joining Microsoft he was Chief Operating Officer at Go2What'sNew, an e-zine of consumer information and vice-president for the Food and Beverage Information Exchange, a B2B exchange for the food service industry.
Neil began his business career at IBM where he held a series of increasingly challenging marketing and technical roles. During his time at IBM, Neil also served as the liaison to Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and helped create the strategic business alliance between them that became the model for the industry. In this capacity he earned membership into IBM's Golden Circle.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana (high honors) and a Masters of Business Administration (finance and policy studies) from The University of Chicago.^ Top
